Puppy 1 vs Roses 0

A very exciting delivery of David Austin roses arrived this week. Its slightly bitter sweet as I had planted roses from this supplier in the autumn but our beloved puppy decided they made a great toy and she dug up and destroyed all my new green shoots. This time the closest she is allowed to get will be to the paper bag containing the precious bare rooted plants. Deciding on which varieties to invest in was not easy and I’m not anticipating this to be a one off purchase! I was seduced by not only the pictures but the names and fell for; Olivia Rose, Roald Dahl and Charles Darwin…and a few more!

Im looking forward to sharing with you some of these beautiful roses which for me take centre stage in any English bouquet.
